Amazing Vert at Railbender Skatepark in Parker, Colorado | Advanced Layout
Our life of adventure and longboarding led us to the Railbender Skatepark in Parker, Colorado under a brisk night sky. Skating around the 30,000 square feet of concrete skatepark kept me warm. But the locals seemed unbothered by the cold as the street and vert sections of the park maintained a solid level of traffic throughout the night. I found the large vert section of the Railbender Skatepark to be another great place for riding a longboard in the skatepark.
First Impressions of Railbender Skatepark:
When we first pulled up to the Railbender Skatepark in Parker, Colorado I saw the lights and it was clear that the skatepark is very big. But I did not expect the large bowl and vert section to be as big as it actually is – it’s HUGE! The Colorado themed quarter pipe makes for a memorable and fitting feature of this skatepark.
Pros: Large vert section, great street obstacles, something for everyone and every style of riding here.
Cons: It is a very good skatepark, so expect there to be some traffic.

Know Before You Go: The huge skatepark is inside the larger city park which is home to tennis courts, a playground, picnic pavilion areas (with electricity), bathrooms and shaded structures. Riders Thoughts:
I really enjoyed skating at the Railbender Skatepark in Parker because of how big the skatepark feels. Well, at over 30,000 sq. ft. I guess it is a pretty big skatepark. The front of the skatepark has a very street plaza feel. There’s a good amount of flat space and a number of street skating features. From here the park leads riders to the centrally located higher ground. This makes the center of the skatepark feel like the top of the skatepark leading downhill in every other direction.
Riders will find a variety of boxes, ledges, stairs, ramps and rails coming down from the top in every direction. These features vary in size and difficulty making a good place for advanced riders to show off their skills while still providing new riders with a good place to try and learn new techniques. The variety of transitions around this part of the skatepark provide a pretty good flow with many routes and features for creative lines.
For me, the huge vert section is the highlight of the Railbender Skatepark. This section of the skatepark has a really unique layout loaded with smooth transitions and banked turns in every corner. This huge bowl has a large pyramid island AND another whole island that provides a “U” pocket and has a rounded twinkie feature. This area of the park is entered by a tall drop in or the tall waterfall roll-in which allows riders of different skill levels to utilize this area of the park.

Inside the large bowl athletes will find a variety of ramps and different types of ledges. There is rounded coping and cement ledges in this area. The tall walls and large amount of space make it a great place for riders to build speed and skate fast. I enjoy using my longboard to pump my momentum through turns, over obstacles and high on the walls to achieve that feeling of cement surfing.
Railbender Skatepark in Parker also has a small beginners “figure 8” bowl. This bowl is pretty shallow with some very mellow ramps and pretty smooth coping. This makes a great feature for someone to get a feel for some skateboarding basics.
Railbender Skatepark in Parker, Colorado is a really fun skatepark that will leave you wanting to return soon. This skatepark provides a great place for riders to learn new things. And it also provides a great environment for seasoned athletes to unlock their true potential!
