Best Skateparks in Sacramento Area
There are a lot of skateparks in Sacramento! Below we’ve organized a collection of some of the best skateparks in Sacramento. There are some that are pretty unbelievable.
GRANITE SKATEPARK
The Granite Skatepark was a clear winner for best skatepark in Sacramento. This huge skatepark is the size of 4 or 5 other skateparks put together! Not to mention the incredible layout! Here you’ll find an amazing diversity of skate obstacles – it has everything you could need for a great skate sesh.
Granite Skatepark has areas for riders of all skill levels from beginners to pros. The smooth roll ins, smooth transitions, and tall vert made it especially great for longboarding in a skatepark. But street skaters alike will find plenty of sick features to keep them busy here as well!
RIPON SKATEPARK
Ripon Skatepark is another amazing skatepark in Sacramento area. This skatepark is a very large skatepark with a pretty open layout and tons of vert.
The skatepark in Ripon is clearly designed as a vert style skatepark with smooth transitions, banked turns, and an amazing flow. These features, again, make for a great place for an exceptional opportunity for longboarding in a skatepark. While we were here we got to see some advanced riders taking advantage of the tall vert and smooth transitions!
TANZANITE SKATEPARK
Tanzanite Skatepark made it high on our list of best skateparks in Sacramento. Not only does it have some great vert opportunities, it also is very well balanced with a good variety of street obstacles.
At the Tanzanite Skatepark there are a number of bowls to choose from. And they vary in shape as well as size and depth. You’ll find that these bowls also have a good variety of roll in areas mixed with coping. Some of these roll ins are pretty technical which can be tricky, but who doesn’t like a challenge? I really enjoyed cruising and pumping around the different bowls on my longboard.
ELK GROVE
The Elk Grove Skatepark is a great medium sized skatepark. This park has two great bowls, both with pretty unique shapes. The clover shaped bowl had a roll in and four pockets of varying size and depth. It was definitely the highlight of this skatepark for me!
The Elk Grove Skatepark is also very well suited for street skaters. You’ll find an impressive number of boxes, ledges, and stairs situated near the entrance in the front half of the skatepark. The ramps and ledges are set up great for pop tricks and grinds.

MANTECA
The Manteca Skatepark is off the beaten path a little, with no parking lot or signs making it a bit tricky to find. So once you take the bike path to reach the skatepark you seem to have your own personal skatepark.
