Riders Thoughts:
The City of Lathrop Skatepark is fun to explore, but that doesn’t take long. The loop aspect of this skatepark gives obvious direction to your run and flows well in either direction. The skatepark provides a variety of street obstacles on one side of the park with a flowy snake bowl on the other side.
The skatepark starts with the lone standing bowl, the largest obstacle in the park. This medium sized bowl is an odd shape with a number of banked turns and smooth transitions in either direction. This bowl is completely surrounded in coping, making it the most advanced obstacle in the park as well.
Throughout the rest of the City of Lathrop Skatepark there are a number of stairs and rails with a good variety of boxes as well.
There is a unique triangle box/rail at this park that can be utilized by street riders to create different lines. This side of the park also features a large rounded ramp that can be used as a banked turn when cruising around the park.

The snake bowl side of Generations Skatepark provides riders with an opportunity to experience small vert riding. The smooth transitions on this side of the skatepark are great for learning how to ride on a banked turn.
These smooth transitions also provide a great place to roll in on a longboard.
There is a small shallow bowl on the backside of the skatepark that is very simple and great for learning how to drop in and ride in a bowl.
Overall, the City of Lathrop Skatepark is a small skatepark that is great for beginners and provides opportunities for riders to learn a few different styles of riding. The flow of this park seems to keep traffic jams to a minimum and is a great place for kids to learn to be aware of their surroundings at a skatepark.
