Civic Center Skatepark in Pueblo West | Street Features and Obstacles
The Civic Center Skatepark is a small concrete skatepark in Pueblo West, Colorado. This skatepark is great for street skaters and scooters but not the best spot for longboarding in a skatepark. The variety of features here can make for some pretty good lines that include different obstacles.
First Impressions: Civic Center Skatepark in Pueblo West
When we arrived, I immediately knew this was much more of a street park and much less of a vert park. But it was clean and provided something new to try!
Pros: Great set up for street skaters.
Cons: No vert, no bowls, no lights

Know Before You Go: The skatepark is pretty small, and no dogs allowed… Also there is a disc golf course here too!
Riders Thoughts: Pueblo West Civic Center Skatepark
We came here so I took out the longboard and gave it a try. There are some ramps and transitions that I was able to skate with the longboard, but most of the transitions are pretty short and steep.
There is a center feature in the Civic Center Skatepark that has a variety of obstacles including flat and rounded ramps on either side. This center feature adds some flow to the park because it allows riders to gain some speed without having to kick as they move from one side of the park to the other.
There are a couple stair sets in the Pueblo West Skatepark, one has tall narrow steps and the other has short long steps. I was able to “fire-cracker” down the longer steps with my longboard but you can only do that so many times.
The front corner of the Pueblo West Skatepark has the only banked turn and rounded transition in the park. The gradual steepness of the edge here is a good place for beginners to try and hit the coping.
There is a long double step box with metal ledges and a few other boxes around the park. Riders will find ramps and features in all corners of this little park.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The rounded pyramid is another simple feature that adds some flow to the park. The rounded transitions on the top and bottom of this obstacle make it an easy feature to play on.
This little skatepark was pretty limiting for my cement surfing style of riding a longboard in a skatepark, but I think street skaters can have a lot of fun here.
