Riders Thoughts: Edora Skatepark in Fort Collins
Edora Skatepark in Fort Collins is a really cool skatepark with all sorts of transitions and fun features. The large snake run is definitely one of the highlights of this skatepark for me. The smooth transitions and flowy layout is great for cement surfing with the longboard.
This area of the skatepark is good for riders of any skill level because there are a bunch of different angles and steepness of ramps. Beginners can start with the very mellow ramps and work up towards steeper and more angled areas as they build confidence. And when ready, riders can to drop in from the coping.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The snake bowl leads down to the main area of the skatepark. Here riders can find a centrally located pyramid with some steps. All along the perimeter of this area there are a variety of flat and curved ramps leading down to the middle. Some of these ramps are steep quarter pipes with coping, some are flat ramps, and others are rounded roll in areas.
The back wall of this section of the skatepark butts up against the other large bowl. And the two sections share a spine.
The other large bowl at Edora Skatepark is a mix between a classic cement pool and a newer bowl lined in metal coping. This uniquely shaped bowl is cool because it features cement coping, metal coping, and a roll in. It has a unique shape and an odd flow unlike other bowls I’ve skated.
The unique shape of this bowl is kind of similar to a clover bowl, but with very mis-proportioned pockets, and a rounded rectangle half. The flow of the bowl forces you to take turns in unexpected directions in order to avoid going in circles. And the tile makes for a satisfying noise to ride on.
Edora Skatepark is a must see for any skater making their way though Fort Collins, Colorado. This park will have advanced riders making creative lines and having a blast! And novice skaters will enjoy the opportunity to gradually build confidence and try new features.
