Fossil Creek Skatepark in Fort Collins | Unique Street Skate Plaza
The Fossil Creek Street Skatepark in Fort Collins is a 15,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark made in 2003 and designed with the street skater in mind. This skatepark features a ton of steps and ledges but the open layout offers very little flow for transition skaters.
First Impressions:
When we first got here I saw lots of flat open space with lots of steps, this is more of a street skating plaza and less of a skatepark.
Pros: Lots of steps and ledges.
Cons: No bowls, or transitions of any kind.

Riders Thoughts: Fossil Creek Skatepark
Fossil Creek Skatepark in Fort Collins is a very street oriented skate spot. There are a number of stair sets, rails, boxes, and ledges around the park.
If you are good at, and enjoy, doing ollies up stairs or up ledges then you will have fun here. There are all sorts of ledges of different sizes. If you are a beginner and haven’t mastered jumping your skateboard up obstacles then you will have a difficult time here because that is all there is here. When we visited, the only ramp in the whole skatepark is a plastic razor ramp that someone brought.
If you like jumping stair sets, you’re in luck because there are quite a few options at the Fossil Creek Skatepark. There are actually a few creative layouts for steps and stair cases here that I haven’t seen in other skateparks.
Advanced street skaters will have fun at this skatepark and the layout, stairs, and other features offer good photo opportunities, so bring a camera man!
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The Fossil Creek Skatepark in Fort Collins offers a number of different rails and ledges for grinding. Some of these obstacles are pretty advanced.
The easier obstacles are lower to the ground, but there are no ramps or transitions leading up to any of the platforms or boxes.
The lack of flow and absence of any ramps or transitions did not make this a very fun skatepark for riding my longboard, but it was another skatepark added to the map! Luckily there is a good variety of skateparks in the area!
