Great Spot: Bluffdale Pump Track, Skatepark and Bike Park
Day Ranch Park is a fun complex where you’ll find the Bluffdale Pump Track. If you’re like me, you love a smooth flowy pump track, especially a Velosolutions creation! In addition to the amazing pump track, there’s also a skatepark and bike park with various obstacles. The amazing variety of amenities here cater to various sports and styles of riding. Athletes on bikes, scooters, skateboards, or longboards can all find an adventure here! Beginners as well as seasoned pros will be able to spend a lot of time at Day Ranch Park. I found the Bluffdale Pump Track to be a great place for longboarding!
First Impressions: Day Ranch Park Pump Track, Skatepark and Bike Park
Woah! This park has so much! The mountain bike track right next to the skatepark reminds me a lot of the environment at Frisco Adventure Park in Colorado. When you first arrive you will see the small children’s track with a few features such as the giant horse shoe arches, the tunnel, and some small wood obstacles.
Pros: Pump track flow, street skatepark, large mountain bike course
Cons: Limited lights

Riders Thoughts: Bluffdale Pump Track, Skatepark and Bike Park
Day Ranch Park is a great place for any wheeled enthusiast to spend a day. As a longboarder, I found the asphalt pump track to be the highlight of the complex. The Bluffdale pump track has a good flow to it with a few unique features. I enjoyed “cement surfing” the smooth transitions and banked turns of the track on my longboard.
Bluffdale Pump Track
The asphalt section of the Bluffdale Pump Track is made by Velosolutions, my favorite pump track builder. So the asphalt is smooth and the transitions are too!
Shred it Later – Pin it Now!
The layout of the Bluffdale Pump Track creates an opportunity to take multiple turns in different directions during a single lap. The humps in the track are great for aiding riders in the building of momentum and speed, but the mellowness of the track makes it good for riders of all skill levels.
There are a few other great pump tracks Utah. The Spoke is a very fun pump track in South Jordan. Here you’ll find steeper features that allow riders to go a little faster than this pump track in Bluffdale. West Valley has a unique pump track/bike park worth checking out as well. Overland Pump Track in Eagle Mountain is another great Velosolutions build. And though a bit of a drive, the Richfield Pump Track is the largest pump track in Utah! And it’s the best in my opinion (so far).
One feature that I found to be unique to the Bluffdale pump track is the “w” shape found on the largest banked turn in the center of the track. This little hump in the middle of the “u” seems slight, but can really affect the line of a rider. And one corner of the pump track has a very tall wood banked turn that bikes can use.
Bluffdale Skatepark
The Bluffdale Skatepark at Day Ranch Park is a nice skatepark on the smaller side that provides riders with a number of street skating obstacles and features. The layout of the Bluffdale Skatepark is similar to a street skating plaza with a good amount of flat ground with numerous rails, ledges and boxes.
Riders will find a number of ramps throughout the skatepark. Some are short and steep, some are medium sized quarter pipes.
The Bluffdale Skatepark has a one stand alone bowl. This bowl is a bean shaped pool bowl, complete with tiles, cement coping, and rock stairs inside!
Bike Park at Day Ranch Park
The Day Ranch Park Bike Park is a top notch dirt mountain bike track with a number of different features. The track includes a bunch of large dirt jumps in combination with a number of wood ramps and obstacles.
Mountain bike riders will find a few different wood features such as banked turns, ramps, and flowy wood humps to play on.
