Riders Thoughts: Howard Heuston Skatepark
This skatepark has the signature feel and flow that you would expect from an Evergreen Skatepark. The smooth transitions and flow of this skatepark are so important because the shape and form give riders the ability to create long lines in such a compact space
The compact size of Howard Heuston Skatepark mixed with this style of smooth transitions can make skating here feel a bit like skating in a pump track. It’s comparable because of how easy riders can maintain their momentum and keep continuously cruising around the skatepark.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The banked turns are set up great to give riders a choice in taking the turns both toe-side or backside. And the flow of the park makes it easy to take these same turns the opposite way during the same line. You can get creative.
This skatepark is unique because both vert and street riders will be able to cruise around here and have fun, but there are no street skating features nor bowls/big vert.
Overall, the Howard Heuston Skatepark in Boulder, Colorado is a fun little skatepark with a great flow and full of smooth transitions. This is a great skatepark for beginners or someone getting back on a board because this whole skatepark is pretty mellow. The mellow turns are great for learning how to take a banked turn and the flow will keep riders on their board, getting used to building and maintaining speed.
