Longboarding at Martha F. Ramirez Skatepark in Santa Fe
The Martha F. Ramirez Skatepark in Santa Fe New Mexico is a fun skatepark packed with tons of different features. This skatepark is good for riders of all ages and abilities. I think this skatepark in Santa Fe has a few quirks and a lot of character. I find the flow and transitions fun for my style of cement surfing with a longboard in the skatepark!
First Impressions:
This is a pretty big skatepark! There are large flat areas and a drop down to a large main bowl area, plus more bowls. One of the first things I noticed was the artwork littered all over the skatepark. There is some dumb graffiti, but there is also some really amazing graffiti too. And it’s fun to look at all the art while you skate!
Pros: Tons of great street and vert features.
Cons: No Lights.

Riders Thoughts: Martha F. Ramirez Skatepark in Santa Fe
Both street skaters and vert skaters will have fun at Martha F. Ramirez Skatepark in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This big skatepark has a little bit of everything from boxes and rails to quarter pipes and ramps, pockets with coping, cement ledges, manual pads, and bowls!
There are a bunch of different ramps leading down into the main bowl. The obstacles inside the main bowl really help add flow to the park. Banked turns, ramps, and pyramids help riders build up speed while cruising around the skatepark.
I think the plants and shrubs growing in the middle of the skatepark are awesome. I’ve never seen such large weeds and plants growing in the cracks of a skatepark, but I think it helped add to the character and memorable features of this Santa Fe Skatepark.
I enjoyed skating in the pockets of the main bowl area because they are positioned well with the rest of the features allowing me to go fast and high on the walls.

There is a unique area in the middle of this skatepark that has a large flat ramp (cool car graffiti below) with coping and a raised hump that connects to another pocket. This raised hump is a fun transition because it is smooth and drops down pretty far which makes you go really fast into the rounded banked turns of the pocket.
This pocket also shares a spine with a separate bowl. It is fully lined in coping and varies in depth around the edges. This bowl was hard for me to use because I ended up going in circles on my longboard.
The large double pocket bowl at the Martha F. Ramirez Skatepark is a really unique bowl mostly lined in coping with the exception of one very challenging roll in!
Once I worked up the courage to drop the roll in, I had fun zooming around this bowl. There is a rounded hump in the middle that helps riders maintain/build speed through out a run. Some of the walls in this bowl were kind of awkward and there were a lot of broken cement chunks on the bottom of one side of the bowl.
If you like to utilize box features at the skatepark, there are plenty of those! Cement ledges, metal ledges, coping, and bushes can be found along the edges of the boxes.
This is a good skatepark for anyone who’s got wheels. The variety of features make this unique park good for riders of different riding styles. The range of obstacles here make this park good for both new riders as well as advanced athletes.
