Riders Thoughts:
The Skatepark in Auburn California is a very large cement skatepark with tons of great transitions in every corner and the surface of the skatepark has a red tint to it which makes it look pretty unique.
When riding a longboard in the Auburn Skatepark, lines seem to go on and on. This is because there are many short steep vert walls that allow riders to pick up speed quickly. And the amount of banked turns make it easy to keep that momentum going into the next turn. This skatepark is great because there are many rounded transitions that riders can use to roll into the main bowl area, and the placement of these roll in areas scattered all over the park allows riders to start new lines in different directions from almost any side of the skatepark.

The red tint of the cement is not the only unique feature of the skatepark in Auburn. As an artist I can’t help but admire the artwork all around the skatepark. Around the skatepark there are about 15 or so murals all painted by different artists and they are all great. I am not sure how often these murals are updated, but they all shared a “skate” theme and they are all well done. Below are some of my favorite murals from the Auburn Skatepark but most of all I liked the shark. He seemed most suited for surfing the cement.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The skatepark in Auburn has a variety of banked turns all over. Some of these turns are very sharp which makes them hard to skate with a longboard. This one turn in particular was the hardest for me to learn, but once I got the hang of taking such a steep and sharp turn I enjoyed skating this entire side of the skatepark more. The height of these walls and the speed of the turn make this spot feel like surfing.
The deepest vert section of the Auburn Skatepark is about five feet deep and has both coping ledges and cement ledges. The rounded corners and the round pocket of this bowl have some great flow. And they are positioned well to pump through the turns and keep going.
The skatepark in Auburn has a ton of medium sized vert features with a great flow. And the skatepark also has a number of boxes and rails scattered around the park for street riding. Some of the boxes have rounded transitions and some of them are just regular You will also find some metal ledges.
Overall, the skatepark in Auburn, California is great for riders of any skill level. And the unique features of this skatepark make it great for trying new things and getting the hang of taking banked turns.
