The Mike Fann Community Skatepark in Prescott, Arizona is a fully fenced in large cement skatepark. Riders can find a surprising amount of great street obstacles as well as plenty of large vert and bowls here. All of the space is utilized really well and there’s something here for everyone.

Woah this is better than I expected. This skatepark has a little bit of everything!

Pros:
Small, medium, and large obstacles, two bowls.

Cons:
Couldn’t find anything to complain about here.

Riders Thoughts:

This large skatepark is great! The layout of the skatepark in Prescott is unlike any other I’ve seen before. There is great placement of so many ramps, ledges, transitions, and obstacles throughout the entire park.

The lower section of the skatepark could be considered the street section because there are many boxes and ledges and even some stairs. This street area has an abnormally great flow because of the different transitions and vert features all around. The ramps, roll ins, and coping merge well with the boxes and ramps all over the skatepark making this a great for longboarding in a skatepark.

There are smooth transitions and banked turns throughout the park that make it very easy for riders to link obstacles and create long lines on a single run. The vert wall in this area of the skatepark in Prescott vary in size from small and mellow to large and steep. There are a few different roll in areas that allow for longboarders to enter the area with speed and without scraping the bottom of their board while rolling in.

Riders can easily start their run from anywhere and still find plenty of flow and opportunity to take turns in any direction.

Shred it Later – Pin it Now!

The Prescott skatepark is a fun skatepark for riding a longboard! But if you don’t like riding your longboard in the skatepark you’re in luck because there is a great hill to longboard down literally just outside the fenced in area of the skatepark.

Along the side of the skatepark there is a straight section with a few different up and down ramps that lead to a few different rails. This area also has a quarter pipe that gives riders a great spot to kick turn and hit these ramps and rails again. Or this can be used as a great place for riders to drop in with speed to hit the ramps.

This skatepark also features two bowls for the experienced vert riders. The first bowl is a narrow but deep bean shaped bowl that is surrounded in full coping. This little bowl has two different depths, a shallower and a deep side.

The large bowl in this skatepark is more of a clover shape. This bowl is also surrounded in full coping and also has a variety of depths. This bowl also features a small raised wall making one side even a little deeper.

Overall this skatepark is more that I expected and a great skatepark for riders of any skill level. The unique layout will give new riders an opportunity to learn many different skills involving many different obstacles and transition types. Advanced riders will find this skatepark to be a great skatepark and will easily be able to spend an entire day here!
