Milliken Skatepark | Fun Unique Layout
Milliken Skatepark is another fun Evergreen Skatepark built back in 2014. This 14,000 square foot concrete skatepark has a very unique layout and is packed full of fun features. Some of the classic Evergreen features are apparent but the layout has more diversity than some of their other builds. The variety of features, smooth transitions and flow make this great for longboarding in a skatepark. Riders of any skill level can enjoy this skatepark in Milliken. You can check out more of the features of this unique skatepark below.
First Impressions:
The first thing I noticed about the Milliken Skatepark was the bright artwork with the words Milliken Colorado. I also noticed a few other colors including the light grey cement with blue accents (classic evergreen paint) as well as the red cement surface around other parts of the park.
Pros: Lots of different transitions, bowl, and street obstacles.
Cons: No lights, no rails

Know Before You Go: Port-a-potty, no drinking fountains

Riders Thoughts: Milliken Skatepark
Milliken Skatepark is a really fun skatepark with a number of great features for both street and vert riders. The artwork and colors of the park make for a pretty fun skating environment.
As a longboarder, I enjoyed surfing the cement on the large walls and smooth transitions found all over the skatepark.
The variety of transition types make this skatepark a lot of fun. It allows riders to be very creative with their lines and hit a number of obstacles in one run. Milliken Skatepark has a number of smooth rounded humps, banked turns, and roll in areas as well as metal and cement ledges, cement coping, flat ramps, boxes, pyramids, and volcanos.
The skatepark is littered with features, but one unique gap stood out to me. The gap has a smooth ramp on either side with a flat area on one side and a ramp down into the bowl on the other.
The flow of the layout in combination with the large walls with smooth transitions make the Milliken Skatepark a fun place for longboarding in a skatepark. The area surrounding the bowl has some pretty unique and smooth transitions that are fun to play on. The red area is like a rounded quarter pipe with a little rounded hill in the middle.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The Milliken Skatepark bowl has a funny shape that has 3 pockets. There are two small pockets and one long narrow pocket with a rounded hump dividing them. The long pocket has a rounded banked turn that rises about 3 feet above the rest of the bowl. This area of the bowl makes a great small half pipe and is mostly surrounded in cement coping, aside from a cement ledge on top of the tall wall.
Overall, the Milliken Skatepark is a great skatepark for riders of any style and for riders of any skill level. The unique features all around the park make for a fun skating experience!
