Modesto Skatepark | Beyer Community Park
The Modesto Skatepark is a cement skatepark located inside the Beyer Community Park in Modesto, California. This medium sized skatepark has both street and vert obstacles all of which are steep and can be difficult to skate.
First Impressions of the Modesto Skatepark:
Pros: Snake run with smooth transitions.
Cons: Most of the ramps are very steep and there are many abrupt walls

Riders Thoughts:
The Modesto Skatepark is a cement skatepark with a narrow perimeter that goes around the four main bowl areas. The largest bowl area of the skatepark has two different pyramid boxes with a couple ledges and a rail. There are some flat ramps as well as rounded vert walls around this area, all of which are very steep and have cement ledges.
Next to this main bowl area is another bowl that has a very unique shape. The shape of this bowl is a large “U” with a spine in the middle. This features makes for a pretty good half pipe and the spine also has the only coping in the entire skatepark. The rounded transitions of this area make the largest banked turn of the skatepark, which unfortunately leads straight into a wall.
The third section of the Modesto Skatepark is a medium sized snake run/bowl area with rounded pockets on either side. The steep walls of this snake run make it difficult to roll in on a longboard, but at the right angle it can be done. This snake run area is my favorite part of this skatepark because the banked turns provide a good flow.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
Riders will find some street obstacles scattered around the skatepark, including a rail, a number of metal ledges, and some oddly shaped boxes. Throughout the park there are a few funny transitions that don’t seem to make any sense and really disrupt the flow if you’re trying to longboard in a skatepark.
The last section of the Modesto Skatepark is a little bowl. This bowl, like the rest of the park, is very steep and also has cement ledges all around.
Overall, the Modesto Skatepark is a very difficult skatepark to skate in. All of the transitions are very steep and harsh. For me, the difficulty of these obstacles makes this a very challenging skatepark to enjoy. But a skilled street skater may really enjoy the Modesto Skatepark!
