Longboarding Frazier Falls Trail | Plumas National Forest
Longboarding Frazier Falls Trail was a pleasant surprise we found while dispersed camping nearby. Frazier Falls is a 176 foot tall waterfall in the Plumas National Forest of Northern California. And the trail to reach the waterfall is a 1 mile smoothly paved asphalt path. This smooth path makes for a perfect opportunity for a smooth longboard cruise deep through the forest.

Camping Near Frazier Falls | Gold Lake Highway
This entire Gold Lake Highway gem of an area was completely new to us so of course we had never seen or even heard of Frazier Falls either. Although we were just excited to find dispersed camping in the area we didn't know it but we were in for a treat! Camping near Frazier Falls ended up being so much more than just your typical free camp spot! And a great location for getting out and seeing more of this beautiful area.

Burgess Skatepark in Sparks, Nevada
Burgess Skatepark in Sparks, Nevada is a medium sized concrete skatepark with a pretty open layout and lots of street skating features. This skatepark is good for riders of any skill level because the park is mostly flat and the open layout gives riders plenty of space to avoid each other. North Beardsley Skatepark in Bakersfield | Fun and Compact
The North Beardsley Skatepark in Bakersfield is a cool little concrete skatepark made by Spohn Ranch. Riders of any skill level will find many usable obstacles here, mostly ranging in small to medium features. Upon first glance, you'll notice there's an oil pump sculpture at the entrance of the skatepark paying tribute to the roots of this area's history. Free Camping Near Truckee | Forest Road 07
Believe it or not, you can find free camping near Truckee! There are a number of great dispersed camp spots off Jackson Meadows Road, or Forest Road 07. Several forest roads branch off of the main Forest Road 07 leading to lakes, trails and pretty sights. For those of you car/tent camping, there are more options found on these forest roads. If you're looking for dispersed camping near Truckee with a rig, then Forest Road 0720 is probably your best bet.

With the birth of the skate and surf scene in the early 1960's it's no surprise that the resulting culture would lead to an incredible number of skateparks in California. It seems no matter where you are in this beautiful state, you can usually find a skatepark nearby. And with the sheer number of skateparks in California, it's sure enough that there are some really great facilities with impressive layouts and designs.

Backpacking Grouse Ridge Loop | Tahoe National Forest
Backpacking Grouse Ridge Loop was our first backpacking trip of the year, our first time backpacking in Tahoe National Forest and our first opportunity to backpack with Shane's brother who flew out to visit from Florida. And since you can't go wrong with loop itineraries with lots of lakes, we were excited to head out to experience a new area and make new memories. The backpacking Grouse Ridge loop itinerary that we decided upon links several different trails in the Grouse Ridge area. These trails lead past lake after lake with numerous opportunities for quick side trips to visit even more lakes!

Dispersed Camping at Kyburz Flat | Tahoe National Forest
Kyburz Flat is a beautiful area for dispersed camping with an appealing combination of wide open meadows and wooded areas. The large grassy meadows are great for wildlife viewing where you'll primarily encounter a variety of migratory birds as well as deer, chipmunks and squirrels. And as we explored the woods while camping at Kyburz Flat we discovered so many different types and colors of wildflowers.
