Longboarding Bear River State Park
Our first time longboarding in Wyoming was just passed the Utah/Wyoming state line at the Bear River State Park. This state park also happens to be the first rest stop on the US80 going east into Wyoming. Pulling off the interstate into Bear River State Park we saw buffalo in the meadow and we felt welcomed to Wyoming.

Boondocking near Hawthorne, Nevada
Just north of the small, friendly desert town of Hawthorne is Walker Lake. Walker Lake is a large lake surrounded by high desert, wild horses, and rugged peak and canyons. We stayed here in April and the weather was pleasant though often windy. We did have a couple cloudy windy days. The mountains across the lake captured the storm and the clouds sat upon the ridge.

Longboarding the Wetlands Loop Trail
Some people hit the jackpot on the strip in Las Vegas but we hit the jackpot by finding a lot of fun things to do off the strip in the Las Vegas area! In fact, this area has some great scenery nearby as well as exciting hikes and even hot springs. We also enjoyed the skate parks and the pump track in the area. But as far as longboarding goes, the Wetlands Loop Trail is amazing! Not just by things to do in the Las Vegas area standards but from all of our longboarding adventures this one was a lot of fun!
