Summiting Picacho Peak
Hiking Picacho Peak begins from the campground/picnic area with a steep ascent toward a cliff face. From there was a surprising change of direction as you suddenly descend and wrap around to the opposite face of the peak. The descent was steep and rocky with exciting steel cables to assist you as needed.

Cruising Yreka California|Longboarding Around Yreka
I was able to spend a few months in Yreka California. While there I tried to longboard a little everyday. It's a small town so I was able to get very familiar with longboarding around Yreka pretty quick.

Mountain View Hill in Weed California
Mountain View Hill is located just south of the town of Weed in California. This road is a great hill to ride on because it is newly paved for what looks like could be a housing development. But there are no houses at all! This is awesome because that means very little traffic.

Truck Bed Travels
In order to travel around the country and longboard, we must have somewhere to stay. So my wife and I created our home on the road, which would provide us with somewhere to sleep, somewhere to store our stuff, and a way to bing plenty of longboards. I measured and doodled, decided on a design and then bought a bunch of wood. (about $200 worth: 2”x12” boards, 2 sheets of ply wood, and hardware) We’ve camped in the truck bed before, but the uneven surface of the floor is uncomfortable. The wheel wells are also quite annoying to deal with at night. So we decided to create a flat sleeping…

Eastward Travels
Traveling East from Texas we rolled through the Cajun Country. As the sun set behind us we made sure to stop somewhere to eat and get some Cajun chicken while in the area. As an artist I appreciate quality art, and we got to see a lot of one of my favorite styles of art, Graffiti! We got to see a ton of train cars with graffiti along the way. Graffiti is a great place to find artistic inspiration. We didn’t get much skate time until we arrived in Florida. We were ready to enjoy the sun and humidity of Florida, it was a change from the Northwest winter on…

Possum Creek Skatepark | Gainesville Florida
Possum Creek Skatepark is a pretty cool, unique skatepark that we got to check out in Florida. Possum Creek Skatepark is medium in size compared to some of the parks I've been to recently, and it's fun! The park has some great banked turns on every corner of the park, which really helps to keep the flow going.

Lehigh Rails to Trails
Lehigh Rails to Trails is a nice paved trail on what was formerly a railroad corridor. It's a nice non-motorized trail that connects Bunner, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast but we just loved that it was a pretty, tree lined, smooth asphalt path. And it passes through the Graham Swamp Conservation Area allowing for great views of the wetlands and the chance to spot wildlife!

Florida’s Iconic Kona Skate Park
When you first walk into the building (must enter the building to enter the park), you are immediately immersed in skate culture. And of course the Kona Skate Park itself is AWESOME! The park is huge, with tons of different areas and features to suit each style of riding.
