It contrasts strongly with the nearby Fort Morgan Skatepark which is full of flow and smaller obstacles.

Dispersed camping near Walden Reservoir is a nice destination in itself as well as a great location for accessing the incredible surrounding wilderness areas. This BLM land has a number of dispersed camping options including several shore side spots with nice scenic views of the mountains in the distance. Here you'll also find a surprising diversity of birds frequenting the reservoir and likely a few too many mosquitoes. Whether as the destination, a home base or a resupply point, Walden is a nice little town with all of the necessities.

Hiking Sand Lake Trail in Flat Tops Wilderness | Pretty and Peaceful
Hiking Sand Lake Trail is a great opportunity to check out several little lakes in the Flat Tops Wilderness. This hike is relatively short, mellow and accessible making it a good little day hike. This lightly trafficked hike leads through the trees reaching four pretty little Colorado lakes. And the trailhead is located near Sheriffs Reservoir so as a bonus, you get to check out the scenic reservoir in addition to the other lakes on the trail. Check it out!

Sandstone Ranch Skatepark In Longmont | Large Features And Fun Bowl
Sandstone Ranch Skatepark in Longmont, also known as Wheels Park, is a nice 17,000 sq. ft. concrete skatepark. It's a pretty simple, but very fun skatepark with some pretty large scale features that transition skaters will really enjoy. I found the large bowl to be a great spot for cement surfing with the longboard! This Longmont Skatepark is a Site Design Group project and worth the trip for a skate sesh.
