Planz Skatepark in Bakersfield
Planz Skatepark is a Spohn Ranch designed skatepark located within the Planz Community Park in Bakersfield, CA. Built in 2014, this 7,000 square foot skatepark has a compact layout that is packed with a variety of street skating features and one small bowl. It is also equipped with lights for night riding.

Pros: Lots of street obstacles. Small bowl.
Cons: Small skatepark, not much flow.

Know Before You Go: The skatepark has lights for night riding and you can find shaded picnic tables, grills, basketball courts, softball field, a playground, and a splash pad in the same park.
Riders Thoughts:
Planz Skatepark in Bakersfield is very compact skatepark stuffed with street obstacles. This skatepark has a back and forth flow to it, set up perfectly to launch onto the many features,
One side of the Planz Skatepark has a variety of ramps, the middle of which is a pretty unique shape that features its own raised ramp.
This ramp on the ramp flows down to a rounded feature that is great for pumping to gain speed on approach to the street obstacles. Some of the street obstacles included in the Planz skatepark are a variety of boxes, ledges of different heights, stairs, rails, and a unique flat(ish) table.
This little Bakersfield Skatepark also features a small stand-alone bowl. This bowl has a shallow side and a slightly deeper side both with rounded corners and fully lined in coping.

The Planz Skatepark is great for the street style skater looking to ollie up some stairs and grind some ledges and rails. Vert riders may be a little underwhelmed, and kids will have fun!
