Longboarding the Quincy Skatepark in Quincy, California
The Quincy Skatepark in Quincy California is a cool little skatepark set inside of the very peaceful Pioneer City Park. This nice cement skatepark has a nice variety of vert and street obstacles that are great for both beginners and advanced riders. The layout of the Quincy Skatepark is a lot of fun and the features and obstacles are placed together really well. And of course, the smooth transitions and good flow make this a good place for longboarding in a skatepark. Also, there is an area in the skatepark set off to the side for taking a break or for spectators with a picnic table. Shade is provided at the right time of day by the nearby trees surrounding the Quincy Skatepark.

Riders Thoughts
The Quincy Skatepark is a small skatepark with a surprisingly flowy layout. This skatepark provides riders with many smooth transitions and banked turns that are great for longboarding in a skatepark. The size of the vert walls and transitions between obstacles can make riders feel like they’re surfing the cement.
The skatepark in Quincy is kind of split into two different sections. Banked turns and smooth transitions make up the vert section on the left side of the skatepark. This is where riders can find a cement half pipe that leads into a rounded square bowl. Along the top of the vert in this area of the skatepark is lined in coping. The half pipe area transitions into the bowl with a rounded hump that allows riders to use their body weight to pump and build speed. This smooth hump and the transitions into the banked turns feels like longboarding in a pump track. I had a lot of fun longboarding the Quincy Skatepark!
It is easy for riders to get into the vert and bowl side of the park because of the great flow. Riders can ride this flow in either direction. The entire front wall of the Quincy Skatepark provides riders with a mellow roll in. And this is great because it allows riders to start a run from anywhere on the wall. This long wall provides a smooth transition and banked turn the entire length of the skatepark.
On the right side of the skatepark riders can find a smooth transitioned pyramid box with ramps in either direction. Atop this small pyramid box is the largest box and rail in the skatepark.
Skate it Later – Pin it Now
The right side of the Quincy Skatepark also has a number of street skating obstacles including a few cement boxes and a number of ledges. Some of these ledges are covered in coping, some are cement, and some are metal ledges.
Throughout the Quincy Skatepark riders will find a few scattered rails, some flat and some sloped. One of the small rails is an old piece of railroad, which is a pretty creative use for the old piece of metal.
