Sunshine Skatepark in Log Lane Village | Compact Street Layout
Sunshine Skatepark in Log Lane Village is a traditional old school style skatepark. The compact skatepark layout is loaded with a bunch of street skating obstacles. Advanced riders will have a lot to do here but beginners or novice skaters might have a hard time with the features here. It contrasts strongly with the nearby Fort Morgan Skatepark which is full of flow and smaller obstacles.
First Impressions:
We got here at night, and there were no lights so the first thing I noticed was how dark it was. Thought it kind of ironic because it’s called Sunshine Skatepark… but I guess it’s named that because you gotta play when the sun’s out!
Pros: Lots of ramps, street obstacles, and a half pipe.
Cons: No lights, no bowls, no bathrooms

Know Before You Go: You can’t miss the water tower and the skatepark is right next to that!
Riders Thoughts: Sunshine Skatepark in Log Lane Village
Sunshine Skatepark has a lot of steep ramps set up in a very compact layout. It was really dark here so I didn’t get to skate, but I imagine that it can be kind of hard to skate here. The steep ramps will make riders go really fast, but the compact layout puts obstacles right in your way.
Novice riders may be a little overwhelmed here, but experienced street riders can have fun here because of the advanced obstacles. The skatepark in Log Lane is kind of small but also kind of extreme which makes for a pretty unique experience. There are about 4 different quarter pipes, a spine, a bunch of boxes and ledges and a few different rails.
Shred it Later – Pin it Now
The half pipe at Sunshine Skatepark is pretty legit. It’s a wide half pipe featuring two different elevation levels with coping and ledges. The half pipe is set off the concrete slab about 6 inches so you have to be ready to ollie the gap to transition from the half pipe to the other obstacles here.
