Superior Skatepark and Pump Track near Boulder, Colorado
The Superior Skatepark and Pump Track near Boulder, Colorado is a cool combination of a traditional skatepark with an asphalt pump track. Opened in March of 2019 this combination facility is designed in part by Pivot Customs Skateparks and Velosolutions Pump Tracks. The flow and banked turns make this pump track near Boulder, Colorado great for longboarding! And the skatepark has a mix of both street and vert features.
First Impressions: Superior Skatepark and Pump Track near Boulder
Just arriving to a skatepark only to find that there’s a pump track too is awesome! As a longboarder I love pump tracks so I was easily impressed by the Superior Skatepark. This is the first combination pump track and skatepark we have seen so I was excited to see how the builders transitioned from one to the other. This pump track near Boulder has a longer track than most of the other pump tracks that we’ve been to so far. And the bowl section of the skatepark was bigger than I expected.
Pros: Long pump track with lots of banked turns in both directions. Large bowl and deep vert.
Cons: No lights
Directions: The park address is 1830 Honey Creek Drive, Superior, Colorado. Or click here to get directions to the Superior Pump Track and Skatepark
Know Before You Go: The pump track and skatepark are located in Autrey Park. Here you’ll also find a dirt track/bike park, walking trails, pickleball courts, disc golf, dog park, and restrooms.
Riders Thoughts:
The Superior Skatepark and Pump Track near Boulder is the combination of a large asphalt pump track and medium sized cement skatepark. Having these two different environments in the same location makes for a really fun skate spot. The large and long pump track in Superior is high on my list of favorite pump tracks for longboarding.
Checking Out the Superior Pump Track Near Boulder
The Superior Pump Track is a great pump track for a number of reasons. The first reason is the length. This is a long pump track that has a variety of banked turns. The turns go in both directions meaning that riders will have to turn left and right through one lap of the track. And these turns come in a variety of steepness and sizes.
This Superior pump track near Boulder, like all pump tracks, has a bunch of humps which are useful for both gaining speed and slowing down. Sometimes at pump tracks these humps are steep enough to cause longboards to bottom out. But that is not the case here. All of the humps are mellow enough to clear with a longer wheel base. And all of the banked turns around the track have flat platforms for riders to slow and step off the track if needed. The size and steepness of the features at Superior pump track is ideal for really building up speed and moving fast.
The Superior Skatepark and pump track are connected by being bumped right up against each other. The abrupt change between cement and asphalt makes for a distinct separation between the pump track and skatepark. But the builders did a great job of making an easy transition from one to the other. It is an easy transition from skatepark to pump track and vice versa.

Checking Out the Superior Skatepark
The cement section of the Superior Skatepark consists of one main large bowl with a separated but connected street section. The platform that surrounds the large bowl is the the cement that connects the skatepark to the pump track. This large bowl is a very uniquely shaped rounded square bowl with an additional pocket, two rounded humps, and a volcano feature. This bowl is between 5-9 feet deep and fully lined in coping.
The street section of the Superior Skatepark is triangular shaped with a few mellow quarter pipes, ramps, a four stair set, 2 rails, and a couple of boxes.
The Superior Skatepark and Pump Track near Boulder is a must visit for any longboarder in Colorado. Experienced riders will love the flow and banked turns of the pump track while beginners can test their courage and work on their confidence. Vert riders will enjoy the large cement bowl, but street skaters might be looking for a few more street obstacles.
