Right outside of Anza Borrego State Park in the Yuha Desert, we did a 5 mile hike to some incredible wind caves! You can see the first of the wind caves up close when you get to the top. These caves were formed from years and years of wind erosion. The wind has hollowed out caves in the sides of the surrounding mountains.

Exploring Diablo Canyon in New Mexico
To get to the Diablo Canyon free camp spot we drove (slowlyyy) for seven miles down a very bumpy but well maintained road. It felt like we were driving on cattle guard the entire time. After shaking up the house real good we finally made it! We got there after dark but easily found a spot to camp. When we woke up the next morning we were greeted with an amazing view of Diablo Canyon! The canyon was gorgeous, the camping was free, and there was only on other couple at the ‘campground’.

Exploring Middle McCloud Falls
The descent to Middle McCloud Falls was a nice dirt trail through the woods on easy to follow switchbacks. The river could be seen down below as we hiked. And after a bunch of switchbacks, there it was!
