This trail provides access into the incredible, narrow and rugged canyon of West Clear Creek Wilderness. This wilderness area follows a clean, rushing creek through a canyon of luscious cottonwoods and gorgeous red rocks. Free Camping Near Phoenix: Sonoran Desert National Monument
We were looking for free camping near Phoenix but aside from some casino parking lots, we weren't having much luck. But then, about an hour south of Phoenix, heading west on I-8 we found nice dispersed camping at the Sonoran Desert National Monument. This vast, sprawling stretch of BLM land was a welcoming landscape to spend some time in warm winter temperatures with plenty of room to roam.

Camping Near Sycamore Creek | Beeline Highway
After looking and looking, we pulled the trailer down near Sycamore Creek and then through the wash for about a quarter mile in questionably deep sand. With some strategy and enough speed, we managed to back our trailer into the perfect little branch off of the main wash. And we were home!

Hiking to an Oasis on Black Canyon Trail
Black Canyon Trail is near Cottonwood, AZ and off most peoples radars with the extremely popular (and beautiful) Sedona area being so near. Hiking Black Rock Canyon trail was enjoyable from the get go but got better and better! Starting out on this hike, it would be hard to guess that it leads to such a stunning and gorgeous oasis lined canyon!

Hiking Little Granite Mountain Loop | Prescott
As we were looking for the next hike to do in the Prescott area we found Little Granite Mountain Loop. We though we couldn't go wrong with a name like that! Granite. Mountain. Loop. Sounded right up our alley! Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monument
Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monument are very impressive glimpses into the life and history of the area near Camp Verde, Arizona. A five story home built into the limestone cliff walls circa 1200. Or a vast, sprawling 110 room pueblo built on a hilltop. Both are spectacular sights to see and impressive construction feats!

Fox Glenn Skatepark is among the three in the Flagstaff area. Fox Glenn is a medium sized skatepark with a long, narrow layout. Here you'll find a mix of vert and various street obstacles.

Camping in Ironwood Forest National Monument
Between Phoenix and Tucson is a great place to enjoy some super agreeable winter weather. And just off of the I-10 is a nice opportunity for some wide open desert camping in Ironwood Forest National Monument! This is a clean and quiet area in the vastness of the desert - with mountains in the distance and Saguaros towering throughout.

The Basin Skatepark and BMX Park in Flagstaff
The Basin Skatepark in Flagstaff is the largest and most advanced of the three different skateparks in Flagstaff. The Basin Skatepark and BMX Park is primarily set up for vert style riding with large bowls and steep drop ins. This skatepark is made to be a BMX park, but it is a great playground for experienced skateboarders.
