As we were checking out skateparks in Central California, our next stop was the Riverbank Skatepark. This is a medium sized skatepark located in Riverbank, California. Here you'll find a nice variety of street skating features and obstacles. This clean and compact skatepark is a fun park that provides a good atmosphere for a quality skate sesh.

While we were camping at Sheephole Wilderness we headed out to explore the area and we ventured into an off the beaten path hike in Joshua Tree National Park. We were in a granite boulder heaven! Longboarding at Oakdale Skatepark | Oakdale, California
Longboarding the Oakdale Skatepark is a fun experience because the large cement skatepark has a number of different transition types and bowls. This unique skatepark has a long skinny layout and provides a great environment for both street and vert skaters. Riders of any age or skill level will enjoy this park because there is a great variety in size and steepness of obstacles. I found that there are many features that make the Oakdale Skatepark great for skatepark longboarding.

Dispersed Camping in Sheephole Valley Wilderness
After about 30 miles from Twentynine Palms lies the Sheephole Valley Wilderness. If being alone in the beautiful vast desert with no others in sight sounds appealing, then dispersed camping in Sheephole Valley Wilderness is a great option for you! No service, incredible stars, infinite washes to follow, and the random rock mountains to climb up are a few things that make free camping in Sheephole Valley Wilderness so awesome.

Modesto Skatepark | Beyer Community Park
The Modesto Skatepark is a cement skatepark with a narrow perimeter that goes around the four main bowl areas. The largest bowl area of the skatepark has two different pyramid boxes with a couple ledges and a rail. There are some flat ramps as well as rounded vert walls around this area, all of which are very steep and have cement ledges.
